I run Software Update daily. This keeps me current on Apple's security updates, which appear to be a rudimentary form of anti-virus protection.
Periodically I scan my hard drive using the open source anti-virus app, ClamXav. No set schedule, as of yet. Mostly I only think about viruses after news of a malware attack surfaces.

I plan to install the daily Java updates every day for the next three weeks.

Just hold the Alt/Option key when you double click the wrapper. This will cause the Wineskin.app to launch located inside the wrapper. Choose Set Screen Options and then uncheck the Auto Detect GPU for Direct3D. Close the window and double click the SoRR wrapper. I have been using Little Snitch for years, and I know it would react, preventing the virus to call home.
More than this, the analyses I've read for this specific virus tell me that when detecting the presence of Little Snitch, the virus will delete itself straight on :-D
So, I won't install any antivirus and voted this. No need with LS.

Since none of the AV companies even knew this thing was out there until AFTER 600,000 Macs were compromised, the lesson learned is that AV software is useless as a preventative measure.
